Get a list of filter vendors and learn about solar filters:
1. Download a pdf file of solar eclipse filter vendors (requires Adobe Reader):
Download Now (opens in new window)
2. View an approximate ten-minute PowerPoint presentation on solar filters (originally shown at 2004 April AAC meeting)
(See Warnings and Notes below)
WARNING: This presentation:
- Requires a fast Internet connection (large file to download)
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or later (may work on some earlier versions)
- Probably will not load or run with Netscape (sorry)
View the PowerPoint Presentation (opens in new window)
NOTES:
More Info on Solar Filters: See NASA Eclipse Resource Page (under "Safe Eclipse Viewing and Photography")
- Presentation may take a several minutes to download
- Can view as automatically running slide show (with animations) or can select individual slides (no animations)
- After presentation loads you can choose:
An Automatically Running Slide Show: Select "slide show"
Good way to view but may run slowly & transitions/animations may not be smooth
(so be patient for animations & slide changes)
Individual Slides: Select each slide from list on left side of screen (no animations)
or use forward/back buttons at bottom
