Due to the events of this morning and out of respect to all those affected, the regular meeting of the Alachua Astronomy Club have been cancelled for tonight.

Sorry for the short notice. Our guest speaker has said that he would be glad to reschedule at a future meeting. One other important item of business was to vote on several changes to the AAC Bylaws. It was very likely that we would not have even been able to vote without a quorum present. This business will be addressed during the regular October 9th meeting.

I am expecting that the September 15th Star Party and Rosemary Hill Observatory tour will still take place as scheduled. It was announced that signing up at tonight's meeting was necessary. We will work around this and no one will be turned away.
