UF's Bat HouseThe AAC occasionally attempts to hold "mini public star parties" at the Bat House on Museum Road (North of Radio Road), and across from Lake Alice on the University of Florida Campus. People normally gather at sunset to watch the bats fly. This is a good opportunity to allow visitors to also glimpse the evening sky through AAC telescopes while waiting for the bats to fly. These star parties are normally planned for dates when a waxing moon is visible since this phase appears during early evening.
