Foucault Mirror Test
On January 21, 2003, Don Loftus demonstrated how to make a Foucault instrument and how to test a mirror's optics with it.
The meeting was held at the Seminar Room of the Physics Department at the University of Florida.

Remi's new creation, a 3" Newtonian on a Dobsonian mount - all wood! Since it is just a little 'scope, it has been designated "CHIHUAHUA"! Chuck is testing to be sure that it is not a toy telescope, but a real, working desk model. A look at the optics and front view of the little wood scope. Delighted with the Chichuahua, Don started to show his Foucault mirror tester. Don is trying to make the battery work for the Foucault mirror tester! Don, still fiddling. Don is looking for the mirror image. Finally, the fun began. While Don was demonstrating, Remi was explaining the theory behind it.
